Managing Director
Based in Sydney, James runs our team. He is an experienced senior manager with over 15 years’ multi-media publishing experience. Passionately customer focused, James is committed to understanding the client, stakeholder, and audience needs and priorities to establish effective training and learning solutions. James has managed the development of countless large-scale education programmes and directs an expert team that includes some of Australasia’s best learning consultants, instructional and interactive designers, e-learning developers, writers, editors, and graphic designers.
Head of Learning Experience Design
Leighton leads our Learning Experience Design team — combining a love of technology with a passion for seeing people learn, grow, and develop. Based in our Wellington studio (but a regular visitor to Auckland, Sydney and Melbourne), Leighton provides direction on the design and development of learning solutions from initial consultation through to final delivery. Coming from corporate learning design leadership roles in both New Zealand and Australia, Leighton ensures that we understand our clients’ needs, contexts, and drivers, and combines that with a focus on our end users through human-centered design.Projects Lead Experience Designer
Mel leads the Project delivery team, ensuring consistency in project management and reporting across the Wavelength portfolio. She has experience in project and programme management in SaaS and bespoke software development, and on commercial strategy design and organisational change management in software, health and safety, and telecommunications organisations. Mel also has years of experience in body corporate/strata management and secondary teaching.
Mel was an avid traveller (pre-Covid) and is a fluent speaker of a number of languages. These days she can usually be found doing obedience and agility training with her dog, learning te Reo Maori, or doing water-related sports.
Senior Learning Experience Designer
Samantha makes complex things simple, combining experience from a range of industries with a passion for helping people learn, and a penchant for problem solving. Through a human-centred design approach, she calls out assumptions, looks for out-of-the-box solutions, and challenges what’s possible.
Samantha’s worked in organisations big and small, in roles across HR, L&OD, learning design, facilitation, and coordination. She’s worked on topics across leadership, onboarding, customer experience, technical training, sales, soft skills.
